About the DEOCS/Privacy Advisory
Purpose: The Defense Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS) is conducted by the Department of Defense Office of People Analytics to provide leaders information that they can use to understand problems and implement solutions.
Confidentiality: Protecting your DEOCS responses is important to us. No one in your organization (including anyone in your chain of command) will be able to see how you respond to any DEOCS questions. Your responses are combined with the responses of everyone in your organization to produce data on the entire group or subgroup, not on you personally. The Office of People Analytics (OPA) has also received a federal Certificate of Confidentiality that provides additional protection against any attempt to subpoena confidential survey records. Participation in the DEOCS is voluntary. You can skip questions you choose not to answer, and you can stop participating at any time.
Authorization: Your DEOCS was initiated and authorized by your unit, organization, or Academy leadership. In accordance with DoD Instruction 8910.01, all data collection in the Department must be licensed and display that license as a Report Control Symbol (RCS) with an expiration date. The RCS for this survey is DD-P&R-2338, exp. January 31, 2024.
Thank you! We know your time is valuable, and we appreciate the time you spend taking the DEOCS.
